Weekly Meal Plan, February 27

Last week was a majorly epic fail in the kitchen department at my house!ย  I had these wonderful visions of making meals from what I already had on hand (pantry is well-stocked, thanks to Super Doubles), and well, they totally flopped ๐Ÿ™ย  Needless to say, we ate out a few times.

This is a new week, however, and I’m re-committing to cooking at home this week!ย  I am not very creative in the kitchen, but having a plan helps, so this is what I came up with:

  • Leftovers
  • Roasted chicken breasts, macaroni and cheese, frozen veggies
  • Quesadillas, carrots
  • Spaghetti with chicken sausage, salad
  • French toast, bacon and fruit
  • Hamburgers, sweet potato tater tots, salad
  • Eat out

I’m also going to try out a recipe for make-ahead french toast from Cook’s Country magazine…I’ll be sure to let you know how it turns out ๐Ÿ™‚

What’s on your menu this week?

  1. I love Cook’s Country (and all things Cook’s/America’s Test Kitchen)so I can’t wait to hear how the make-ahead french toast turns out for you(stopping by from MSM, btw). I’ve never had sweet potato tater tots, but adore anything sweet potato–do you make your own? Thanks and good luck with your menu this week–we had an off-week as well!

    1. Me too! I love all of their recipes…they always turn out perfectly ๐Ÿ™‚ I have not made tater tots yet, but I have seen a recipe for them in Cook’s Country magazine…maybe I should give it a try. Thanks for stopping by!

      1. I’ll have to try those! How about their pictures? sigh. Yum. Glad I found your site! I see you have a scrapbooking category and I’m JUST beginning to scrapbook..eek, intimidating!

        1. Yes, but not as intimidating as blogging! lol Let me know if you have any questions about scrapbooking ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m working on my Christmas layouts right now and they should be done sometime this week.
