Menu Plans for Busy Moms

It’s looking to be a bit of a crazy week around here, so I’ve made a super simple menu plan to get our family through the week with healthy meals…and to help us avoid the drive-through!

Weekly menu planning can help busy moms save time and money prepping meals for their families. The weekly Trim Healthy Mama menu is full of Trim Healthy Mama recipes to keep you on plan. Using healthy menu plans gives you options for breakfast, lunch and dinner that the whole family will love.

My husband’s work schedule is insane this week, so that means that I have to take care of a lot of our routines by myself, including driving the kids to their activities. So I won’t have a lot of extra time to spend on cooking and cleaning up dishes this week.

I’ve included some simple skillet meals and a slow cooker dinner that are easy and quick to make, but also don’t require a ton of dishes to wash.

Heads up! The UHB is Back!

By popular demand, the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle is back for a two-day flash sale.

It was a huge sale the first time around (with almost 22,000 customers!), so if you missed it the first time, you have just TWO days to get this bundle of awesomeness.

This bundle includes resources on recipes and meal planning, as well as other homemaking needs like finances, home, marriage, self-care, organizing and systems, and motherhood…including my book, The Mom Reality!

To see what’s in the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle, and all the free bonuses you get with it, head on over to their site before Tuesday night!

As usual, my menu plan is Trim Healthy Mama-friendly. If you aren’t familiar with Trim Healthy Mama, head over to read all about how I became a Trim Healthy Mama and lost 35 pounds in 7 months.

Here’s what’s on the menu this week:

Oatmeal with freeze-dried strawberries, cottage cheese (E)
Peanut Butter BAM cake, 1/2 banana (S)
Scrambled Eggs with cheese, bacon, berries (S)

Leftovers most days
Ham and cheese on a low-carb wrap, berries (S)
Sweetie on Steroids (E)

Taco Salad (lettuce, taco meat, cheese, salsa, sour cream) (S)
BBQ Meatballs (adjusted to make them THM-friendly), green beans (S)
Reuben in a Bowl, deviled eggs (S)
Lasagna Skillet, salad (S)
Snatch-Em-Up Chicken Tenders, broccoli (S)

Eat Out

I’ve taken most of my dinners from the Trim Healthy Table Cookbook (affiliate link).

Taco salad sounds so good. We love tacos around here. I’ve been trying to add in more comfort foods in our meal plan for cooler weather but it’s been summer like the last few days. I’m sure the rain will return next week just in time for Halloween.

I hope you have a good week even though it’s going to be a busy one.

I like making taco salad on the nights we have piano lessons, because it’s something I can make super fast. When we get home from lessons, everyone is starving, so I need to get dinner ready fast! 🙂

Hope you have a great week too!
