Menu Plan Monday

Menu Plan Monday

Happy Monday to you! After a week of sleeping in every morning, I’m super tired today because I had to start getting up early again to get my hubby off to work and the kids off to school. (Staying up late to watch Downton Abbey didn’t help much either!)

In my big decluttering session last week, I came across some old Cook’s Country magazines that I couldn’t bear to throw out. While flipping through them, I saw a few recipes that I had been meaning to try, but never did. So this week, I’m trying out a promising skillet meal.

Here’s what’s on the menu for the week:

Monday: Split Pea and Ham Soup in the Crock Pot, bread

Tuesday: Pan-fried Pork Chops, stuffing, veggies

Wednesday: Peasant Pasta, veggies

Thursday: Skillet Italian Chicken with Orzo, veggies

Friday: Homemade Pizza, salad

Saturday: Eat Out

Sunday: Breakfast for dinner – bacon, eggs, Chocolate Chip Scones, fruit

Hi! I’m stopping by from the Monday Menu Plan link up! I’m a Downton Abbey fan, too! I loved last night’s episode! Lady E is such a hot mess (pun intended!)! Happy Monday!

Hey Laura! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit 🙂

Oh my goodness, I totally agree with you about Edith…the poor thing seems to attract tragedy! Looking forward to this week’s episode 🙂

Your menu looks great this week. You’ll be having a few dinners my family loves. We haven’t had breakfast for dinner in quite a while. I need to do that again, soon. Hope you have a great week.

Thank you Shelly! I love making breakfast for dinner because not only it is fast to prepare, but I don’t really need a recipe to make it 🙂

      Have a great week friend!

Oh, it’s so good Sandra! I didn’t start watching the show until last year, so I had to catch up with episodes on Amazon Prime, so you can watch them there. The newest episodes are shown on PBS, which I don’t think you need cable for 🙂

I keep thinking I need to throw some new recipes into our rotation as well. I felt like I was in a rut with meals at the end of last year and probably should open a few cookbooks that I never seem to use and see what I can find. I get one more day to sleep and then Wednesday will be my day to be super tired. Hope you got to sneak in a nap today!

It’s such a good idea to get out some of your favorite cookbooks and find some new ideas for meals…cooking the same things over and over again can get boring sometimes 🙂

Hope you have a great week Jean!
