Menu Plan Monday

Menu Plan Monday

Good morning! Happy Monday to you!

I hope you had a great weekend…we had a lot of fun decorating the house for Christmas, going to a Christmas crafts fair, and eating a ton of turkey! We finally got so sick of turkey that we went out for a pizza last night ๐Ÿ™‚

This week, I’m planning to use the last of the turkey and it’s carcass to make some Turkey Soup Kits so that we can enjoy some delicious soup after we’ve gotten a taste for turkey back. I’m also making some yummy Football Sandwiches that I tried out this weekend for a church potluck…they were so good that they were gobbled up super fast.

Here’s the rest of the menu for the week:

Monday: Breaded Chicken Cutlets, buttered noodles, green beans

Tuesday: Football Sandwiches, salad

Wednesday: BBQ Meatballs, rice, veggies

Thursday: Crockpot Lasagna, salad

Chocolate Chip Scones

Friday: Breakfast for dinner–eggs, Chocolate Chip Scones, fruit

Saturday: Turkey Corn Chili, homemade dinner rolls

Sunday: Eat Out

  1. I’ve made your chocolate chip scones recipe before and it’s great. My family loves it.

I hear you on getting tired of turkey. We had enough leftover turkey this year to make 5 turkey soup kits. Sometimes we add in a batch of homemade egg noodles to the soup kit. My family loves that too. I’ve also used them to make turkey pot pie too.

We had homemade chili last night with cornbread made in a cast iron skillet. The whole family loved it. I think I need to make chili more often. Hope you have a great week.

    1. Thanks Shell! We had your turkey soup kit recipe for dinner tonight and we all loved it, except my little boy, who proclaimed that he hated soup and wasn’t going to eat any. Meanwhile, the others had two bowls each!

    1. Hmm, the turkey tacos sound delicious! I try to make a turkey chili each year with our leftovers because it’s such an opposite taste from the Thanksgiving dinner flavors.

  2. Those scones look great! We didn’t have any leftover turkey so I was actually craving it tonight. We had lasagna last night but I cheated and bought the box stuff.

    1. Thanks Jean! I don’t blame you a bit for buying a boxed lasagna…after all the work making a Thanksgiving dinner, you deserve a night off from cooking!
