How can it be Monday again already? Ha! The weekend seemed to sneak by…hope yours was good 🙂
We are going out of town this week for a tiny little vacation, but will be back to use up our CSA veggies! It was an interesting week with a new-to-us vegetable: kohlrabi. Let’s just say it wasn’t a favorite of ours, although we did try it!
Here’s our menu for the week:
Monday: Sandwiches and fruit
Tuesday: Chili Mac and squash
Wednesday: Chicken and Broccoli stir fry with rice
Thursday: Swedish Meatballs, mashed potatoes and veggies
Friday: Breakfast–Waffles, Bacon and fruit
Saturday: Brats on the grill, kohlrabi slaw, fruit
Sunday: Eat Out

What’s for dinner at your place this week?
Have fun on your vacation.
I used to eat kohlrabi all the time when I was a kid. My grandparents grew it in the garden and we would cut it up and eat it with dip. My aunt still grows it but I haven’t tried to grow it myself. I think my kids would like it with dip, since the will eat anything with dip. I’ll have to add it to my list of new things to grow next year.
Our menu plan is an oven free one this week. We will be making lasagna in the crockpot. I love how easy it us to make in the crockpot.
I hope you have a great time on your little vacation this week, Erin! I don’t believe I’ve had kohlrabi before…we’ll see if we end up with some from our CSA.
