Hello there…Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend 🙂
I had a bit of trouble with my menu plan this week. Well, it wasn’t actually trouble, just disappointment. Yesterday afternoon, I sat down with my computer to check my local grocery store’s ad so that I could make up my menu for the week. I saw that they had chuck roast on sale, so I decided to make a pot roast for dinner one night this week.
Unfortunately, when I got to the store, the chuck roast that was on sale was a bone-in roast, which made the cut of meat weight significantly more, and therefore much more expensive than I had budgeted. The boneless ones were a whopping $21-$22 each, which I just couldn’t bring myself to pay. Not when I can get them for less than half that with a good sale.
So that left a hole in my plan for the week. Luckily, I found a kielbasa left in my freezer, so I decided to use that in a pasta dish…problem solved 🙂
Now, for the week’s menu:
Monday: Leftovers
Tuesday: Turkey Corn Chili (made with ground turkey), rolls
Wednesday: Creamy Sausage and Pasta, veggies
Thursday: Homemade pizza, salad
Friday: Breakfast for dinner
Saturday: Eat Out
Sunday: Taco Night: taco meat, chips, cheese, shredded lettuce, salsa, sour cream, and veggies on the side

We had a taco night last week. It makes for such an easy dinner. The creamy sausage and pasta sounds good as well as the rest of your menu.
We had tacos yesterday. I just got back into creating a menu plan for the week, and I like it. 🙂 I’ve added creating a menu plan to my Google Calendar, so that I know when to plan it and don’t forget!
What a great idea…I never thought about using Google Calendar for the menu!
