Menu Plan Monday

Good Morning moms! Hope you had a wonderful weekend ๐Ÿ™‚ Let’s get the new week started off on the right foot with a week’s worth of dinners planned out with our menu plan!

Get a jump start on your week by making a menu plan!

We did a great job of sticking to our healthy eating plan last week, despite all the holiday goodies that are floating around at get-togethers. My husband’s office had their holiday party, and my mom’s groups at church both had all kinds of cakes, cookies, fudge and other snacks to eat…which was so hard to resist!

I did indulge in a small piece of the most delicious pumpkin cake and some tortilla chips and dip (my one great weakness!), but mostly ate well the rest of the week, giving me a nice surprise when I finally weighed in at the gym: a loss of 3.8 pounds!

This week, I’m making both some old favorites and some new-to-us recipes to help keep us on the road to weight loss and avoid unhealthy holiday snacks. My husband loves meatball subs, so the Meatball Parmesan Casserole I found at Joy Filled Eats may become a family favorite very soon ๐Ÿ™‚

As usual, my menu plan is Trim Healthy Mama-friendly. If you aren’t familiar with Trim Healthy Mama, head over to read all about how I became a Trim Healthy Mama and lost 35 pounds in 7 months.

Here’s what’s on the menu this week:

Breakfasts
Eggs, berries (S)
Sprouted grain English muffins, turkey bacon, 1/2 apple (E)
Secret Choco Big Boy shake (FP)
Scrambled Eggs with cheese, bacon, berries (S)

Lunches
Leftovers most days
Turkey and cheese in low-carb wrap (S)
Sweetie on Steroids (sweet potato dish) (E)

Dinners
Pizza with sausage, salad (Crossover)
Beef Stew in the slow cooker (S)
Salisbury Steak, asparagus (S)
Bacon Ranch Chicken Casserole, salad (S)
Trim Mac Salad (S)
Meatball Parm Casserole, broccoli (S)
Eat Out (S)

I’ve taken most of my dinners from the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook (affiliate link). We’ve been using this cookbook for practically all our meals for the past few months and we love everything we’ve tried so far.

  1. Good for you avoiding the sweets and yeah for the weight loss. I’m starting my Christmas baking today. We will have sweets around for a while but i’ve found that when I make a bunch of goodies I’m not as tempted to eat them.

I hope you have a great week.

    1. I think I’m going to make a batch of candy and cookies this week…it’s just one week out of the year to eat some naughty things ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Have a great week Shell!
