Menu Plan Monday

Good morning! Ready for Monday yet? I’m all set for the week with my menu plan!

Get a jump start on your week by making a menu plan!

As I told my subscribers in my weekly Friday email (Are you on the list? No? Sign up here!), our beloved family dog very unexpectedly passed away last week. The whole family has kind of been down in the dumps ever since, and we ate out a bunch…and not always healthy choices. I’m dreading getting on the scale today at the gym, but trying to give myself grace at the same time.

Turning to food when I’m feeling down is a bad habit of mine, but the funny thing is that it didn’t actually make me feel any better…in fact, I felt worse, physically speaking. I also find that when I’m on plan, I don’t crave “bad” foods, because I feel satisfied. Going to the gym every weekday also helps me feel better, so I’m doing that as well this week.

As usual, my menu plan is Trim Healthy Mama-friendly. If you aren’t familiar with Trim Healthy Mama, head over to read all about how I became a Trim Healthy Mama and lost 35 pounds in 7 months.

Here’s what’s on the menu this week:

Eggs, berries (S)
Oatmeal, Triple 000 yogurt, half apple (E)
Scrambled Eggs with cheese, bacon, berries (S)

Leftovers most days
Ham and cheese in low-carb wrap (S)

Sweet Potato Oat Soup, sprouted bread toast (E)
Reuben in a Bowl, broccoli (S)
Spaghetti with Italian sausage, spaghetti squash (regular spaghetti for the kids), salad (S)
Taco Night (S)
Pizza with Gwen’s crust (Crossover), salad
Roasted Chicken in the slow cooker, mashed cauliflower, broccoli (S)
Eat Out (S)

I’ve taken most of my dinners from the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbookblank (affiliate link). We’ve been using this cookbook for practically all our meals for the past few months and we love everything we’ve tried so far.

I’m sorry to hear about your dog passing. We lost one of ours dogs this summer. It was hard. I really feel for your family.

Your menu looks yummy and I hope you’ll be able to turn your eating around this week. I tend to be an emotional eater too. I hope this week is a better one for your family.

Thanks Shelly! I’m sorry to hear about your dog too. It sure is hard to say goodbye to them, isn’t it? I haven’t even taken his water bowl up off the floor yet…I just need a few days.
