Good Monday morning to you! How was your weekend? We had just about the most perfect weather all weekend…sunny and just warm enough to be really enjoyable 🙂 I added hamburgers on the grill to our menu, since it was a good time to grill…our first taste of summer!
Well, I didn’t see any weight loss last week, which is a bit of a let down for me, but it’s a lot better than gaining, isn’t it?
I seem to be in a bit of a stall lately, losing and gaining back the same couple of pounds. I’m not quite sure what to do about it, although I’ve read that sometimes it helps to sort of trick your body into doing something new by eating some crossovers (on Trim Healthy Mama, crossovers are meals that combine fats and low-glycemic carbs). There is also a stubborn loser menu plan in the book which I may try to see if it helps in any way.
Although I feel wonderful at the weight that I’m currently at, I think it’s important to lose the last bit that will put me in a healthy weight range.
Here’s what’s on the menu this week:
Eggs, berries (S)
Strawberry Big Boy Smoothie (FP)
Sprouted grain toast, cottage cheese, cantaloupe (E)
Scrambled Eggs with cheese, bacon, berries (S)
Leftovers most days
Light Progresso Soup, 2 Wasa crackers with light cheese (E)
Tuna salad on pita, salad (S)
Pan-fried pork chops, mashed cauliflower, green beans (S)
Egg Roll in a Bowl, broccoli (S)
Trim Mac Salad (S)
Burgers on the grill, zucchini fries (S)
Oven fajitas, salad (S)
Eat out at Chick-fil-A Fundraiser (I usually pick a Cobb salad with grilled chicken and avocado lime ranch dressing) (S)
Eat out (S)
I’m also making the Raspberry-Frosted Secret Agent Cake and Tummy Spa Ice Cream this week for desserts.
I’ve taken most of my dinners from the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook (affiliate link). We’ve been using this cookbook for practically all our meals for the past few months and we love everything we’ve tried so far.
