Good morning mommies! Hope you had a great weekend! We pretty much froze all weekend, as the weather turned cold again (we even had some snow flurries and hail), so I made a menu plan with some warm and comforting foods to get us through.
We’re still chugging along with our Trim Healthy Mama way of eating, and last week I lost 3.2 pounds! I’m about 18 pounds from my goal weight now, and I’m hoping that I see some more weight loss today when I weigh in at the gym.
The THM plan authors released a new recipe this week for a white bread that you can make in the microwave, which I was so excited to try out, because I miss having some sort of toast with my eggs at breakfast (and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and French toast…)
I cooked mine a bit longer than called for because the middle wasn’t quite done. I tried a piece with some Turkey Corn Chili and thought the texture was great, but tastes bland all by itself. Other ladies who have tried the bread say that it’s best with something like peanut butter or mayo for a sandwich, so I’ll try that out later in the week.
A new feature to Menu Plan Monday
I’ve created another short video of my grocery hauls for you to be able to see what I buy at the grocery store each week to make my Trim Healthy Mama meals. There are a few off-plan items in my hauls, because my kids are not 100% on plan, as they are at healthy weights and are still growing.
I hope you enjoy seeing this little peek into my menu planning process (make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel here so you don’t miss any new videos):
