I think one of the best parts about being a mom is having other moms as friends. After long days of feeding, diapering, cleaning, laundry, stepping on Legos, picking up the same toy 25 times…you all know the drill…we need to recharge our batteries by spending time with people who we can relate to.
I recently invited some of my best mom girlfriends over for a Moms’ Night Out. We shared some yummy snacks, delicious drinks, and talked all night about…guess who…the kids, of course! We also had a big laugh when one friend’s husband sent her a text that their new baby had big diaper blowout right after she left for the get-together. (Score one for mom!)
Getting together with these ladies is always a fun time, and we try to do it about once a month or so. A few of us also love to go out to movies that don’t have animated characters once in a while, which is why we are looking forward to seeing the new movie Mom’s Night Out.
With a cast of stars like Sean Astin of The Lord of the Rings and Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond and a funny and relatable story line, this movie is guaranteed to be good. Take a look at the trailer:
Why not round up a group of your best mom friends and have a Moms’ Night Out of your own? It may sound like just one more thing to put on your to-do list, but I promise, this to-do will help refresh and re-energize you. You might even look forward to Lego time afterward!
