30-Day Cleaning Challenge: Garage, Car and Entry

house cleaning

I felt like a real cleaning super star today after finishing project 19 Β in the 30-Day Cleaning Challenge πŸ™‚ Not only did I clean out my garage, but I also cleaned out the car AND the entry to my house!

We last cleaned our garage in the fall, but as you can see, the kids have their bikes and toys sort of thrown around everywhere. It was definitely in need of a cleaning.

The car was also in dire need of a vacuuming.

The kids had pretzel bits in the backseat, plus there was red glitter and plastic beads floating around from one of my daughter’s craft projects (thanks so much art teacher!).

We were expecting rain this afternoon, so I had to work quickly to get the vacuuming done before the storm arrived.

I also cleaned the inside of the windows as well as the console. The outside needed cleaning too, as it was covered in green pollen, but since the rain was coming, it didn’t make sense to wash it today.

The garage only took a few minutes to sweep out and organize. It looks much better, doesn’t it?

I don’t know how all these fall leaves ended up in our garage.

I even got ambitious and cleaned the windows to the garage, since I already had the glass cleaner out for the car windows.

After I finished outside, I took a few minutes to vacuum the entry and the main living room and kitchen. It needed mopping too, but I didn’t do it because of the rain. Whenever it rains, we seem to drag more dirt and wet inside, and it just ruins the floor. I’ll just wait to mop in a couple days when the weather is dry πŸ™‚

It’s so nice to have a clean garage and car for the weekend! What about you?

  1. Erin, everything looks so nice. Great job! I worked on our entryway and picked up a few other rooms. My husband keeps our garage and cars so nice and clean, they were already clean. πŸ™‚
